Meet Emma Lucy
I have always loved the stars and have had a deep connection with nature and animals since birth. Prior to becoming a professional Hellenistic astrologer I was a veterinarian for twenty-five years (specialising in equine surgery and spending time in academia in the first half of my career and then in the last eleven years specialising in traditional Chinese veterinary medicine and acupuncture with shamanic medicine blended into it). My veterinary clients will know me as Dr. Emma Rowe. I have also studied ancient wisdom, mysticism and Indigenous culture for my entire life.
Since my twenties, I followed the planetary cycles and worked with them in my personal life, having several astrology consultations over that time. In order to understand my own natal chart in more detail, I read astrology texts. A few years ago my passion for astronomy/astrophysics/cosmology exploded and I spent all of my spare time reading and exploring the night sky with my telescope. Being under the stars in the silence of the night soothes my soul. I was wondering where it was all leading when my special interest in the asteroids led me to Demetra George and subsequently ancient Hellenistic astrology. I began studying with both Demetra and Chris Brennan and have never looked back. Using the ancient techniques gave me so much more clarity around my own natal chart. Immediately, it became my goal to acquire the knowledge, skills and expertise required to help other people understand their natal chart with this ancient practice.
Discovering ancient Hellenistic astrology has truly been one of the greatest joys in my life and I know in my heart I will be studying and practicing it for the rest of my life. I really see the parallels between this tradition and traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture in the sense that both are full of intricate complex systems which all integrate together effortlessly. It makes my heart sing and brings my love of science, the mystical and ancient wisdom all together perfectly. I cannot wait to help people discover what the stars can tell them about their life, it is an honour and a privilege.
